WHO KNEW EYELIDS REFLECTED JUST AS WELL AS MIRRORS. We have to find time for self-care. Constantly moving, caught in the hamster wheel of life, never allowing ourselves the time or the space to reflect on our current reality, thoughts and past actions. Reflecting is key in life because it provides conscious consideration and analysis of your beliefs and actions. This provides us a platform for learning, development, and growth. Reflection gives the brain an opportunity to pause amidst the chaos, untangle and sort through observations and experiences, consider multiple possible interpretations, and create meaning. This meaning becomes learning, which can then inform future mindsets and actions. So engage in this practice frequently guaranteeing yourself the best chance of a happy, productive and focused life.

I had such an awesome time this weekend at the Renew Your Mind Conference. There was time set aside for meditation and connecting to nature. During those periods I was able to relax my mind and get in touch with my spirit. This started to develop reflection of gratitude, appreciation and love. It made me think perhaps the key reason we do not make gratitude a part of our daily lives is that the accelerated pace and multiple distractions of daily lives have made it all too easy to forget gratitude’s importance. We have to find time to show appreciation for ourselves and others. The practice of gratitude is truly the glue that holds humanity together.

Tip for the week: Try some self-care activities this week. One spiritual, emotional and physical. Spiritual activities could include meditation or praying. Emotional ones can range from identifying and connecting with past hurt and forgiving yourself for the pain you may have caused others. And physical can be exercising or eating healthy. A little bit definitely goes a long way. Have a great week!

Losing is never fun. I think it's because when you feel like you have done all that you could have possibly done to ensure victory, yet result in a failure you don't know where to turn. Boy was this the case when I went through a breakup from my last relationship. I almost allowed him the opportunity to break me. Totally forgetting who I was and how blessed I had been over the course of my life. This moment is where my Mindset Three-Point Turn was developed. I had to find a way to coach myself out of the possibility of depression. I started to victimize myself, totally forgetting my past successes and being grateful for what I had in life. Whenever you are going through just continue to fight. Because your why is bigger than any individual who attempts to disturb your peace and taint your magic.
