This kid. My everything.
Ladies and gentlemen. Please welcome our little Jedi to the world! Thompson Parker McCauley: born at 9:21am on May the 4th, 2018, weighing in at 10.0 lbs. and measuring 22”. He’s our little hunk, already flexin’ on the world. @oo_nicolemarie_oo you outdid yourself in growing this amazing little man. We are all healthy, happy, and doing great. So much love. #tpm #thompsonparkermccauley
At most, and if all goes as well as one could hope, my son will be here by this time two weeks from tomorrow. I’ve never been more excited and more anxious. @oo_nicolemarie_oo has been the most incredible pregnant momma I could ever want for a child of my own. As much as I can’t wait for Thompson Parker McCauley to get here, I am just as pumped for her to see his beautiful face and find relief from all of her restlessness and discomfort. Growing this little boy has been no easy task, he’s not even born and he’s already an active mover and a big healthy boy. Being a father with a partner I love is something I never dreamed I would do, but I couldn’t be more privileged and excited to share this experience with you @oo_nicolemarie_oo I can’t wait to buy you your first post-pregnancy beer, babe. You deserve it and a so much more. #thompsonparkermccauley
#tbt to what was a near perfect sunny San Diego Sunday. Great pasta, tasty brews, warm sun, cool reggae, and my best friend and baby mama to be. This was probably the last time that it was just the two of us, little did we know that Thompson Parker was about to change our lives. @oo_nicolemarie_oo I love you every day more than the last. #cansonthecouch #itkeepsthedogoffthecushions
Holy crap we’re already at 20 weeks! A tremendous shout out to @oo_nicolemarie_oo who has blown me away with how resilient, patient, and strong, she has already been. I’m a lucky guy! Halfway there to meeting my little man and I couldn’t be happier.
You guys, I’m going to be a dad! So thankful for my beautiful girlfriend and our growing family.
As exciting as it is to take a leap of faith towards my new job, it’s equally as bittersweet to be leaving this amazing organization. Today marks my last day with Associated Students of SDSU. I started working for AS at the Aztec Rec. Center in April 2004. I ended up working at the ARC until I graduated in 2007. I can say without a doubt my time as a student employee at the ARC was one of the most transformative and fulfilling parts of my college career. Jump to almost a year later to July 2008 when I was hired in a professional role as the ARC Facility Supervisor. When the demolition of the Aztec Center began I knew I wanted to be a part of the team that opened what would become the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union. In May of 2012 I joined the Student Union team. Since then I’ve had the privilege of working on everything from the grand opening semester, putting on events in a building we only had three days to walk around in before we opened, to the joyfully somber Tony Gwynn Memorial Service, to literally thousands of meetings and events with everything from acrobats hanging from silks to the black-tie Campaign for SDSU kick-off. What a ride it has been. Through it all the best part has always been the people, my AS family. Between dozens of amazing professional colleagues and my hundreds of student employee kids, my love for the AS family knows no bounds. A million thanks and a million thanks more to every one I’ve worked with these past dozen some odd years. And now for the good news: I’m staying on campus at SDSU! Starting next week I will be the Assistant Director at the Parma, Payne, Goodall, Alumni Center. I’ve worked closely with many alumni and development staff over the years and I am beyond thrilled at this opportunity. I am an Aztec for Life, it’s only fitting that my new role puts me in the facility where Aztecs past and present can come together and celebrate this amazing university and all we can do together.
Sometimes you find a person and you just fit, like two puzzle pieces. All the crazy edges match up, and you go together like it was always meant to be that way. Happiest of birthdays to my babe, my love, my girl. It’s going to be an amazing year, love you!
Happy Mothers Day to my amazing Momma! Love you Mom!
