Proper skincare means you can wear less makeup and let your skin shine through ☀️ I haven't used a makeup primer in months (yay for eliminating a step), and I am using less foundation these days. I have been using this Qualerex Beauty dual purpose serum/primer for a few months, it has become my go-to, and I love the results I'm seeing. I use it as a serum underneath my moisturizer and it creates a soft and dewy canvas. I love the hydration and glow this serum provides! It is packed with clean/nourishing ingredients, is non greasy, absorbs like a dream, and is vegan & cruelty free. Have you tried any Pumpkin skincare? Pumpkin contains natural AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) that exfoliate the skin removing dead skin cells revealing smoother and brighter skin. I want to compare two pumpkin products I love. (Swipe for texture) - - 🧡 Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask I've used a couple years and it works as a great Intense exfoliator 1-2x/week. Exfoliates skin physically with Aluminum Oxide Crystals, chemically with AHAs, & pumpkin enzymes. Apply thin layer to clean skin, gently massage in circular motion with wet finger tips, leave on 3-7 min depending on sensitivity & rinse. Slight tingling does occur and this is not suitable for sensitive skin. Although I love how this mask softens and brightens my skin, I am transitioning to cruelty free and won't be repurchasing. Price $58 - - - 🧡 Sorella Apothecary Papaya & Pumpkin Mask I've been using for a couple months now and love that this brand is cruelty free. This mask is suitable for all Skin types including sensitive and breakout prone. This mask uses pumpkin AHAs and papaya enzymes to exfoliate surface dead skin cells, papaya also heals & restores damaged skin cells. Honey is used for its antioxidants, moisture restoration and antibacterial properties. Apply thin layer to cleansed skin and leave on for 20 minutes and rinse. This mask is gentle, yet very effective at softening skin, minimizing pores and nourishing/hydrating the skin. This mask takes the cake for it's ingredient list, gentle formulation, luxe packaging and brand values. Price $48 *Thank you Jen's Aesthetics! - - *Have you tried either of these? Which would you try first?
Not rejected, just redirected to something better! Happy Friday 🙏❤💫
Have you tried any Probiotic Skincare?! Tula is a cruelty free brand I am growing to love! This is the Kefir Ultimate Recovery Mask formulated to hydrate, soothe and improve tone/texture. I've been using this line for a few months now, and I like everything I've tried, but this mask is my fav. This mask has replaced my go-to for 2 years which was Ren Evercalm Mask. - - 💜What's in it? The main ingredients are Kefir, rich in probiotics and vitamins for hydration, ceramides to help retain moisture and apple extract which is full of vitamin C to help improve tone/texture. - 💜 Pros? My skin instantly feels soothed because of the cooling effect. My skin definitely feels deeply hydrated, soft & supple after using. It is gentle enough for multiple uses within a week. It has a light citrus aroma. The mask simply delivers. - 💜 Cons? I feel as though you need a thick layer if you dont want it to dry too fast. But that's it!
Monday evening's skincare lineup 🌙 This routine may look luxurious, but there are 4 items (3 brands) here I won't be repurchasing because they aren't cruelty free. I will be revamping my skincare collection over the next few months, and weeding out brands that test on animals. 3 brands I've loved over the last few years but will be parting with once my products are finished are Fresh, Caudalie, & Laneige. This will be a hard transition, but I'm excited for this much needed change! S/N I have been loving this Murad Retinol Youth Renewal Serum! Full review coming soon 💚 - - *What brands have you had to let go because they still test on animals?
It's healthy to care what they think, just don't care too much ok? Happy Saturday you! 😘
Friday evening's indulgent routine featuring Lush's Ultrabland Cleanser and Pixie Glow Tonic, two products I've been wanting to try that I won in a recent giveaway! Also, I so love how Morrocan Tansy hydra drops fits so well in any routine. - - 💫 Ultrabland is made of beezwax, essential oils, and honey. A little goes a long way, and I expect this generous tub to last a while. It does not lather, and is very moisturizing, balancing and softening. If you need squeaky clean, this cleanser is not for you, and you must remove with a warm damp cloth. I enjoy using this before exfoliating or using a peel. - 💫 Pixie Glow Tonic is an exfoliating toner that uses 5% glycolic acid to exfoliate and brighten skin. You can use AM or PM which is nice and so far I love the refreshed feeling after using this, and look forward to results with continued use. - 💫 Morrocan Tansy Hydra Drops are my jam. You've seen this in my routine, with blue Tansy, sage, neem and squalene as a few of the main ingredients, this oil plays well with others and absorbs very well. Great for adding a bit of nourishing hydration, and nighttime is the right time to layer hydration! - - *Have you tried Ultrabland? Would you use a cleanser of this texture?
I am excited to review this Barrierderm Intensive Cream by Skin & Lab. I've been incorporating some products from this kbeauty brand over the last few weeks and this cream is one of my favorites! - - 💜 This is a highly moisturizing cream that relieves stressed & dehydrated skin. It contains Hyaluronic acid, ceramides and Filaseed (Filaggrin) which is an essential protein that keeps moisture locked in the skin. This cream is suitable for all skin types including sensitive and breakout prone. A little goes a long way and it absorbs nicely. I love the lavender aroma of this cream, and that you can use it on your body as well! Although it says intense, I see me using this year-round as it has a fluffy light texture ☁️. I use this cream after going hard on the chemical exfoliation, or whenever my skin just feels a bit stressed. I've noticed a definite improvement in moisture, and it does a decent job of soothing/calming as well. - - *Have you tried Skin & Lab?
Happy Memorial Day! I hope you all are enjoying your holiday the best way you know how! Got a good workout in and a spa day, currently wishing it were this nice. I have finally started incorporating dry brushing and love the results! It truly makes a world of difference in the texture and radiance of your skin all over! - - *Do you incorporate dry brushing in your skincare/bodycare rituals?
Happy Friday! Who's enjoying beautiful weather?! Not happy that I'm still wearing jackets and hoodies in Chicago, but excited as my husband and I start planning to move back to a warmer climate before this year is up!! We feel our best in warm temps, and having moved/lived all over the U.S. we haven't yet settled down. I'm ready to give a new location a year, then finally find my Dream Home with a pool! The wait/prep makes it even more exciting! I have been patient, and am ready for some big changes!! 🙌❤☀️
Tonights routine featuring 4 effective steps from Illumines, a cruelty free Australian skincare line I have been really enjoying! This routine is ideal for anti-aging, exfoliating, resurfacing and hydrating skin. Also, a reminder to be fierce with your Selfcare as it sets the tone for everything you put yourself into. 🌙 - - ⭐ I Love a good balm, and both the cleansing balm (very rich) and whipped cream moisturizer (smells like Lavender!) are balmy/silky textures that deeply hydrate and soften skin (swipe for texture) - - *Do you like solid cream moisturizers?
Happy Monday! I'm cheezin' because I'm getting paid to have a good time at the National Restaurant Association Convention, and I just love meeting and networking with people from all over. Especially when they think I'm wayy younger than I actually am! 😄🤫 Also, I cocktailed Lancome Teint Idole foundation with Beauty Blender Bounce and it truly lasted all day with minimal blotting and no retouches! 🙌 - - *Do you ever cocktail your foundation? I think I may be on to something.
What is a Rose Quartz Roller and how do you use it?! New Video is up! Link in Bio! I show you one way in which I like to incorporate rollers into my rituals. Happy Friday! 💕
Happy Tower Thursday! Tonight's PM routine featuring a new Drunk Elephant product I can't believe I took so long to try! - - 🥝Slaai Makeup Melting Butter cleanser. This cleansing balm is packed with blueberry, kiwifruit and strawberry fruit extracts that soothe skin, as well as cranberry seed, açai fruit, & watermelon seed oil that moisturize and protect skin. This balm is fragrance free and removed makeup gently while softening and moisturizing skin. So far I really like this cleanser and look forward to long term benefits with continued use. One of my favorite Body Oils of all time! L'occitane Almond Oil is an oldie but goodie. I stepped away from this oil for a while to venture out and try new oils, but now I've had a chance to miss it and am so happy to have it back in my routine. - - 💫This luxurious lightweight oil softens skin, nourishes skin and absorbs beautifully leaving a non greasy sheen on skin and locking in moisture all day. This oil is formulated with almond oil rich in omega 6, and camelina oil rich in omega 3. It also smells Amazing!! 💕 I always come back to this oil! - - *Have you tried this oil? What's a product you break from but find yourself going back to?
