This #monsteraadansonii is unfurling new leaves so fast it sure gets me pumped! 😆 Although this plant was the start of my first ever thrips experience and I found 3 adult mealy bugs after I bought it. 😣Its still looking pretty damn good even after 2 repots of fresh soil, 17 showers and countless hours staring at leaves looking for thrips to wipe over the weeks. My beneficiary bugs should be here tomorrow. I’ll definitely share about them.
I’m dealing with thrips in the house right now for the first time. Ug! But luckily everyone on this shelf remains safe and cute. ☺️
My #abyssinianbananaplant ♥️ Isn’t she a beaut!! . . . About 2 more months before it’s brought inside. Have to make sure I beat the first frost. It will overwinter downstairs in a cooler room with one small low light window. I cut off all the leaves except the newest one. I do water it lightly over winter. I always make sure to check with my moisture meter first. Then come spring it’s back outside and grows bigger/taller every year. #bananaplant #enseteventricosum #ethiopianbananatree #falsebanana
My underwater live plant world. 🌱 When it’s tank cleaning time, I always save all the old water and use it for my plants. 💦 You can’t have anything planted into substrate with the way the biorb filters are designed. So I’ve trained these aquatic plants that can live with exposed roots onto lava rock. The gravel you see is minimal and just at the front edge. The marimo moss balls are resting on bare tank floor/filter. This allows flow to pass between the moss balls. I really dig the design of this tank. #marimomossball #anubiasaquaticplants #cryptbeckettiipetchii #biorb #dwarfredgourami #neontetra #ivorymysterysnail
Bought this adorable #turtlevine 2 months ago. It has grown like crazy. Each picture is taken a month apart. Care: I let this plant almost completely dry out before watering. (And use fish tank water) It hangs a couple feet across many east windows with lots of trees. So some dapple light at moments.
My #eucalyptussilverdollar is very hard to photograph alone due to its size now. I can’t get over how much it has grown in 4 MONTHS!! (Swipe next photo) I was so nervous to care for it because I wanted it to live so badly and I don’t see them around often. Looks like I made it happy, currently 45” tall. 😆
My Momma #pileapeperomioides has quite the wing span now. I am shocked how much this plant grows and produces babies. Bought her May 2018 with only 5 leaves.... She lives in a east window with a big tree. So nice dapple morning light. She also enjoy my fish tank water!! 🐠 So save yours every time you clean. Makes your plants happy!💫
