Veins of Mongolia 🇲🇳 Just go with the flow and allow yourself to not know where you’ll be going next. This is the spirit of this country. When was the time you truly felt free?

Before we dive even deeper into more Mongolia adventures later today, here’s another memory from Iceland last year with @bensimonrehn and @olympuscameras. Can you spot the heart in the last frame?

Have you ever seen a nomad teepee from the inside? Welcome to Khurlee and Ganbaa’s home, the clan leader of the reindeer people of the Eastern Taiga. Northern Mongolia was definitely one of the most incredible places I’ve ever been. Could you live here? -

Imagine this mountain in your backyard. Kyrgyzstan at its best 🇰🇬
I just wanted to throw some thoughts in here. As you may have noticed, most of my shots in my IG feed are aligned and connected by using the horizon or other parts of the image to naturally connect to the next one. I started doing this exactly 5 years ago and it’s been a fun and tough time! It takes so much time to search through the archives in order to make my feed look pleasing to scroll through but most importantly I like how, by using this technique, landscapes connect which aren’t even on the same continent sometimes. A simple line that, from the very beginning, meant so much more to me than just connecting the shots. Back in the days I had the idea of creating an exhibition presenting every picture next to each other to show how everything and everyone is connected, all around the world. It’s a fragile balance which keeps the rivers flowing, the trees growing and the birds flying. We have to understand that we all, every single one of us, have an impact on this ecosystem and it’s our job to protect it. Let me know your thoughts whether my thinking makes sense or not.

Can you guess what Bazarbai, the Kazakh Eagle Hunter, is picking up in the third picture? 🇲🇳
Anzeige | Another day, another @djiglobal #DJIMavic2 topic - today: movement. I think it’s pretty awesome to watch him riding the horse up close but you won’t understand the whole context unless you swipe to the last frame and see the whole picture. Freezing a moment for all times. How many hooves are touching the ground?

Disappearing dunes in Gobi Desert, Mongolia 🇲🇳 Anzeige | My next topic for the @djiglobal challenge was light and well, I came to shoot the camel during sunset. However, a snowstorm was on its way and the clouds were extremely low so that the atmosphere of this scene felt so surreal and strange. Seeing the storm clouds from the #DjiMavic2 drone coming closer was simply incredible. Shortly after the snowstorm kicked in. I still like how you can see the last bits of the blue sky in the second photo from the ground while the white clouds are covering the sunset light in the aerial shot.

One planet, many different worlds. Shot in Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬 Anzeige | I think drones have dramatically changed the way photographers work these days. It opens a whole new world once you see our planet from above. I’m gonna share a little series with you over the course of the next days in which I’m showing you side by side shots from the same locations, captured with a DSLR and with the @djiglobal #Mavic2Pro. Do you use drones too?

Memories from Iceland 🇮🇸 For some reason I never posted this photo. Maybe it simply looks too unreal?
-
By the way, the #themuenchmaxline challenge is still going. Thought about announcing the 3 winners this weekend. Sorry that it took so long! The idea is to post several photos after each other on IG while all photos are connected through more or less visible lines - can you spot the line here? Wait for my next one!

Anzeige | Just a week ago, I went to the northern coast of Germany to test the new @djiglobal Ronin-SC. Swipe to watch the video!
The handheld stabilizer is designed for mirrorless cameras and is so much lighter than the first model. It can even track movements in front of the camera and follow simultaneously, so that you don’t need to worry about losing your subject. Big thanks to @alinakondrat for running through the forest at 5am in the morning! #roninsc

Anzeige | Back on track, exploring Xinaliq in the Quba Rayon Mountains in Azerbaijan for the very first time. So far out and yet, my new #AmexPlatinum metal traveled with me the whole time. You could ask why - because there was probably no way to pay by any card. I believe that it’s not simply a card - thanks to all insurances and a travel voucher, it gives you more possibilities than you think. Also, Azerbaijan is always good for a surprise! Check out @amex_de and my IG stories for more. #AmexLife #AmexTravel
