Backpacking isn’t always so glamorous as many Instagram images would have you believe. On this solo trip this weekend, first I forgot an eating utensil, so had to eat with a camp shovel and chop sticks made out of tent stakes. Then my brand new replacement Big Agnes air mattress developed another leak, this time a defective valve. It was really really uncomfortable sleeping on sharp icy rocks. I had to do a hack job repair at 2 am with duck tape. Also rushed out to try my new Sony a7RIV...but forgot to put an L bracket on it! Whoops...yet another hack job was required.
Mt Rainier - I’ve fallen for mountains before, but this one has always been my rock. Sony a7RIV Saturday night.
