Llyn Elsi on a grey June day. An ideal short walk from Betws if you only have an hour or so free. The family of geese were lovely to see. #betwsycoed #conwyvalley #northwalestagram #northwales #scenery #geeseofinstagram #geese #snowdonia #snowdonianationalpark #walkingwales #waleswalking #visitnorthwales

North Wales. Taking train from Birmingham to Holyhead. Walking from Holyhead to South Stack Lighthouse.
Holyhead is a town in Wales and a major Irish Sea port serving Ireland. It is also a community and the largest town in the Isle of Anglesey county.

Anglesey, Wales’ biggest island, has 60 Sites of Special Scientific Interest. Four National Nature Reserves. A walking festival in summer. A local population that includes sharks, rays and bottlenose dolphins. 😳More shipwrecks than anywhere else in Europe. Oh, and the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path which spans 125 miles. Mostly through an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. 😍😍😍 Fresh air. Open spaces. Plenty of paths and trails.
No wonder walkers love to visit North Wales. They come here to find themselves (or lose themselves) in great outdoors. But sometimes you have to walk – just because there’s no road.

Looking in the opposite direction to my last post. With a low bank of cloud on the horizon the sunset fizzled out but for a short while the crepuscular rays over the offshore wind farm were most impressive.

The lighthouse does lean a bit and it's not the photo.
