If you want to see the sunshine, you have to weather the storm.

This was without a doubt one of my favorite sunsets to watch. The other week I was making some dinner while visiting San Francisco and noticed the gray skies lifting outside the window. This was so exciting considering the entire week I was there it was cold, gray and rainy 🥴. I grabbed my camera gear and headed to the closest beach which was only 15 minutes away. Grabbed my skate and went as far as I could before having to walk. I still had to hike down the beach to find these cliffs.

For a bit I wasn't sure what kind of a sunset I was going to get because it was still cloudy and gray. Sure enough the colors started changing like someone was adjusting the lights. I couldn't believe it and for a good 45 minutes the sky was illuminated! This one evening was worth a week of gray.

Photography and travel has taught me a lot about patience. In such a fast paced world its important to find things that help us slow down. Most of us probably said "I can't believe its 2019!" Dont let 2020 surprise you without any moments that make you say "wow!"
