There’s more to me than meets the eye. People constantly tell me how lucky I am not to have loose skin and stretch marks. Well guess what, I do. It’s not nearly as severe as many people's, but it’s still there. And it still haunts me. While losing the weight was one of the biggest things I’ve ever had to overcome in my life, I’m still left with a daily reminder of what once was. My lower body, especially my lower stomach and legs are the most affected. I still don’t ever feel comfortable in a bathing suit or naked.⁣
⠀⁣
But aside from my loose skin, there’s more to me than meets the eye. I’m smart as hell, pride myself on high integrity and I’ve overcome some pretty extreme hurdles in my life to be where I am today. It’s taken years but I truly love myself, regardless if there are parts of myself Id still like to change or improve.⁣

Roasted Honey Garlic Butter Chicken 🍗🤩

Ingredients 🍱:
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
4 bone-in skin on chicken thighs
1 pound brussels sprouts
2 cups butternut squash cut into one-inch cubes
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup butter
2 tbsp mustard
3 garlic cloves minced
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup whole pecans

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a medium-sized skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Add the chicken skin side down and sear for 2-3 minutes until brown. Add the chicken to the skillet.
In a large bowl add brussels sprouts and butternut squash. In a small bowl whisk the honey, butter, mustard, garlic, and salt. Pour half over the vegetables and toss to coat. Add the vegetables to the skillet. Pour the rest over the chicken.
Roast in the oven for 30 minutes or until chicken is cooked throughout and no longer pink. Add the dried cranberries and pecans and toss with the vegetable mixture. Enjoy!

Bit of weekend motivation! In 2 years I went from a size 32 (size 4XL) to a size 10 (size Small) I picked up two pairs of pyjamas in New Look yesterday and didn’t know what size to get so picked up a size Small cause I thought ‘I’d love to be able to say I’m wearing a small’, but I didn’t actually think they’d fit, it still surprises me every time I pick up a size small or a size 10 in clothes and they fit no bother! Even when I was a kid at school I had to wear adult clothes cause kids clothes didn’t fit me. So to be able to walk into any shop and fit into anything is a completely new feeling but I’m absolutely loving every moment of it! Smashing this hungover Saturday morning breakfast in bed. My first ever attempt at protein pancakes using @bulkpowders lemon mix. One plain, one topped with @skinnyfoodco chocolate spread, one topped with peanut butter. Throw on some yoghurt and all of the fruit and bam! #yum. Just a shame I'm too hungover to eat it all. 😂😩

Da ich nun stolze Besitzerin eines Microprogrills bin, gab es heute Mittag mediterranes Gemüse mit Hähnchenfilet.

Beliebiges Gemüse mit etwas Öl im MPG für 10 Minuten bei 900 Watt mit direktem Deckel garen. Fertig marinierte Hähnchenbrustfilets und etwas Cremefine zum Kochen hinzu geben und für weitere 5 Minuten garen. (Direkt) Zum Schluss mit Salz, Pfeffer und italienischen Kräutern würzen.

🍤 Chili Lime Shrimp Wraps 🌞🌶🥑 By @cleanfoodcrush . Thank you so much 💓💓

Ingredients:
makes about 4 servings
1.5 lb. raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp smoked paprika
2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
2 Tbsp avocado oil, or extra-virgin olive oil, divided in half
sea salt and fresh ground black pepper
freshly ground black pepper
2 fresh limes
a handful of fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
8-10 romaine or butter lettuce leaves, rinsed and pat dried
1 large avocado, diced
1 red chili, thinly sliced

Instructions:
In a large glass bowl, add shrimp, all seasonings, juice of 1 lime, garlic, and 1 Tablespoon of oil.

Season with sea salt and pepper to your taste, then stir well to coat.
If time allows, refrigerate/marinate for 15 minutes or so, covered.

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook until just pink, about 3-4 minutes

In a very large bowl add cooked shrimp, diced avocado, cilantro, chili slices, juice of 1 lime and remaining oil.
Gently stir to combine.
Taste test and season with a pinch of sea salt and pepper of needed.

Add spoonfuls of the avocado shrimp mixture lettuce leaves as shown, and enjoy. .

Take some time at the end of each week to look at your upcoming social calendar.⠀

Start thinking about those evenings out so they're not a surprise.⠀
.⠀
2. Plan What To Eat.⠀
.⠀
When you're eating out at a restaurant, plan what you'll have ahead of time.⠀
.⠀
Most restaurants have menus online. Some even have the calories.⠀
.⠀
Thinking ahead makes your decision about what to order that bit easier. No more panic stricken orders as you're faced with thee menu for the first time!⠀
.⠀
3. Plan Calories.⠀
.⠀
Now you know what you're going to order, you can start to think about your calories.⠀
.⠀
Do you need to cut back further during the week to make room for a few hundred extra calories that day?
.⠀
Increasing your deficit by 100 calories for the other 6 days might be enough.⠀
.⠀
4. Stick To The Plan.⠀
.⠀
So you've got to all this effort to map things out. Don't undo all that work by doing something completely different.⠀
.⠀
Stick to what you planned!⠀
.⠀
5. Don't Panic.⠀
.⠀
An increase in body weight the next day is highly likely.⠀
.⠀
But don't worry... If you've done everything right, it's just a little water fluctuation.⠀

6. Enjoy Yourself.⠀

Life is about enjoyment. Learn to live a little and take the pressure off yourself.⠀

🍫 Are you a late night snacker? Maybe you're not even hungry.. but somehow you find yourself lingering in the kitchen after dinner, snacking mindlessly. Next thing you know, you've consumed an extra 500-1,000 calories.

🍿 I used to do this ALL OF THE TIME. I didn't even realize it was happening until it was too late. If this sounds like you, know that you are not alone. Late night snacking is a very common problem.. and honestly I am still guilty of doing it sometimes!

💎 But over time, I have gathered a handful of strategies to help you out & I wanted to share them with you! 👇🏼

⏰ Adjust your meal times & eat dinner later. Instead of eating dinner at 6pm, try for 7 or 8pm so that by the time you finish eating, you don't have much time before bed to get hungry again.
▪︎
⏳ Wait 20 minutes. Stay busy & distracted. Most times we are just bored and so our instinct is to eat because it's enjoyable & will fill the time. Instead of heading to the kitchen, call a friend, go for a walk, read a book, spend time w/ family, etc.
▪︎
📝 Decide an eating window that you won't eat outside of. Make a rule for yourself, I won't eat past ___ pm and try sticking with it!
▪︎
💧 Drink sparkling water, a cup of decaffeinated tea or just plain ol' water! Sometimes you are just thirsty. Try filling up on calorie free beverages before you opt to eat snacks before bed.
▪︎
🍖 Be sure to include plenty of protein & fiber in your diet, which will keep you full! This will prevent you from wanting to snack after dinner.
▪︎
🚰 Brush your teeth immediately after dinner. It will trigger you to think you are done eating for the day, & let's be real - who wants to go through the floss/brush ritual twice?!

Woke up this morning to a new low weigh-in 🙌🏻 over the course of my weight loss journey so far, I’ve lost 50lbs!

It’s taken me a LOT longer than I ever thought it would. I’ve actually not technically been a healthy weight for my height in about 6 years. I thought I was doing everything right to lose weight, but it just kept piling on. 
Weight loss seems easy (eat less move more, right?) and as a young teen I definitely judged people who, to my eyes, refused to bother. But after struggling with it myself, it’s opened my eyes!

The two things that turned the corner for me were buying a fitbit (so I could see how truly inactive I was during the day!) and hiring a PT (@charlene_dell I owe a lot of this to you 💖). I’m definitely not done losing weight yet, but the end is in sight. I’m hoping another ~10lbs down and I can stop, and up my calories to finally start building some serious muscle.

I have nearly 30... I match them with my outfits 🤦🏻‍♀️😂.

On a serious note though I’ve always made sure I drink a minimum of 2 litres a day. The messages in your brain telling you that you are hungry are so close to the ones telling you you are thirsty it’s easy to get them confused. At least I know if I’m drinking 2 litres a day if I get hungry I know I’m hungry!!.

And I think having a matching bottle to my outfit actually helps me drink water... funny eh?!😂.

Bu sayfayı ilk açtığımda yanlış hatırlamıyorsam 2018 Haziran falandı. O zamanlar da sürekli kilo vericem diyip duruyordum. Hayatımda en çok 80 kiloyu gördüm. 80 kiloyu gördüğümde babam kolumdan tutup diyetisyene götürdü çünkü ondan yaklaşık 8 ay önce 58 kiloydum. Bu süreçte insülin direncim varmış ve bu denli hızlı kilo almamı sağlayan şey insülin direnciymiş. Diyetisyenle birlikte 72 kiloya kadar düştüm ama hiçbir alternatif üretmeden sürekli aynı listeyi verdiği için ve motivasyon konusunda hiçbir desteği görmediğim için diyetisyeni bıraktım ve yine kilo aldım. Bu sefer 76’ya çıktım başka bir diyetisyene gittim ondan da istediğim verimi alamadım belki sorun bendeydi bilmiyorum. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Al ver al ver 72-73 kilo arasında kilom sabit kaldı. Üniversite mezuniyetimde zayıf olmayı o kadar çok istedim ki ama iradesizlik ve sabırsızlık yüzünden bu istediğim olmadı. Tabi bunda bölümümün de çok etkisi oldu. Gerçekten zor ve yoğun bir eğitim hayatı geçirdim. Özellikle 4. Sınıfta yazılım projeleri, bitirme projesi, seçmeli ders projeleri çevirileri derken oturdum ve sadece yedim. 😢Neyse bu günler artık geride kaldı. 😎 73 kiloyla başladığım serüvene ait fotoğraf arkadaşımın düğününde zorla çekildiğim bir fotoğraf çünkü o zamanlar kendimi hiç ama hiç beğenmiyordum. Sürekli fotoğraf çekinirken insanlarla bitişiyordum ki çok belli olmasın. En sonunda canıma tak etti bir gün dedim ki neden ben de zayıflamıyorum. Madem bu durumdan şikayetçiyim zamanım var ne duruyorum. Bir sürü zayıflayan insanları takip ediyordum yaptıkları verdikleri kilolar o kadar çok motive ediyordu ki dedim ben de artık düzenli yükleyip kendimi kontrol edicem. Sonra yakın arkadaşlarıma utana sıkıla söyledim. Gerçekten çok büyük destek verdiler. 💜Tabi sürekli fotoğraf peşinde koşunca ailem öğrendi. Sonrası şu an. Şu an 60 kiloyum belki daha az bilmiyorum 🤷🏻‍♀️. İlk hedef 55 sonra 50. 👌🏻Eğer istersek her şey mümkün. 💪🏻
