THE 7 SINS OF A BLOGGER (III) - MASSCOMMENTING
⠀
"Nice pic"
⠀
"Cool shot"
⠀
"Awesome"
⠀
Do these sound familiar to you?😂 In this post I will talk about masscommenting, one of the most annoying practices of bloggers who solely look to increase their following.
⠀
3. MASSCOMMENTING - if you haven't done it or haven't heard of it, masscommenting is leaving comments under the posts of targeted audience. The purpose is to make the audience check on the commenter's profile and possibly subscribe. Since leaving a comment is much more consuming then just leaving a like, a blogger can buy paid service from providers who leave these comments with the help of a robot.
⠀
These robots use standard templates (like "Nice pic" or "Great job") which will be rotated and distributed under the posts of targeted audience. Usually one can set to have likes and comments together for better results🙌🏻
⠀
Some services took it to the next level and offer personalised comments with meaningful content which will cost you a fair amount of money💰
⠀
I personally recognize easily these comments and I feel disappointed when I receive one, because, let's be honest, everybody likes to receive a nice comment or at least the expression of an opinion related to his/her work which is actually meant.
⠀
Why am I strongly against masscommenting? Because this is not real engagement, it is not true interaction and it's deceiving users😭
⠀
I am for authentic engagement with people whose content I really like and I actually feel like saying something. Commenting should come from the heart, not from the robots and it should truly reflect your thoughts on somebody's work. I'd rather have 5 real comments than 100 "Cool shot"s and it would definitely make me open the profile of these 5.
⠀
Have you received such comments on your posts? How did they make you feel?
